What is the draft Climate Change Strategy & Implementation Plan?
This draft document is in response to East Staffordshire Borough Council signing up to the Staffordshire Declaration, where we acknowledged that climate change is occurring and committed to taking action. The draft Strategy also takes account of several National Indicators, one of which is adopted in the Local Area Agreement for Staffordshire. What is the document about? The draft Strategy sets out: What we will do to reduce our carbon emissions resulting from the organisations own activities. How we will support residents and businesses in East Staffordshire to reduce carbon emissions and tackle the effects of climate change. How we will adapt as an organisation to climate change and the services we provide.
