Oh, I’ve never heard of flashcards but that’s a great idea. Anyway, I would say the best way to memorize is by doing a combination of all these things. Different ways work better for different people. In addition to reading your lines by yourself and writing them out get a friend to help you run lines. Sometimes it helps to put movement to the words too. Go over the script right when you wake up in the morning and right before you go to bed at night as well as these other techniques because you’ll have less thoughts in your head distracting you when you’re a little sleepy. And don’t be certain you know your lines until you can recite them standing on your head in a vat of chocolate pudding while people are calling you nasty names!
