For a person who lives in the Diocese of Fort Worth, or who is registered and active in one of our parishes, there is no charge for the basic process. The funds raised by our annual diocesan appeal, Sharing in Ministry, help defray the cost of handling the case. This practice was begun by Bishop Joseph Delaney in 2001, and has been confirmed by our present Bishop, Kevin Vann. However, certain cases may require the services of an outside expert, and the Tribunal will ask the one requesting the declaration of nullity to be responsible for that cost.
