What is the function of the coaxial digital audio output connector on HV676? To which device should I connect it?
• The coaxial digital audio output connector passes through multi-channel surround sound to an audio receiver. The audio receiver can then decode the digital surround sound in the media file. HV676 can decode Dolby Digital and down-convert the surround sound to stereo (L&R) audio. But to experience a true surround sound, an audio receiver is required in order to decode and reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound. • There is no audio output from the audio connectors. • Set the Audio in Setup menu to LPCM mode. This will allow HV676 to convert digital audio in the media to analog audio. When an audio receiver is connected to the digital output, Audio should be set to RAW in order to pass the original digital audio data to the receiver. In this mode, there is no processing to the audio data and there is no audio output from the audio connector. If the content audio is encoded only in DTS, HV676 does not have license to process DTS audio and will need an audio receiver to reproduce D
