What is the function of the plasma component in the blood?

0

The bloods Plasma is needed because without it nothing would flow. Red Blood Cells are very large and trying to pump them through air (ie if there was not plasma) would be impossible. Not to mention the fact that more than just oxygen is carried by the blood, there is also Nutrients (like Glucose) and protiens, all of which must be dissolved to move around. Without plasma there would be not flow and all the cells of the body would die.
