What is the goal of the Foreign Language Program (FLP)? Will my child be fluent after completing the course?

The FLP is an optional enrichment activity. Its goal is to provide exposure to foreign language learning and instill an interest in foreign languages/culture in young children. The FLP is not part of APS curriculum, and while professional foreign language teachers are hired, it is not designed to instill fluency after one or two courses.
