• Historical evidences show that secondary reinforcement in the form of horse hair was in roman coliseum (80AD). • Tipu Sultan’s palace at Srirangapattanam in India has been built with sheep’s wool. • An ancient pueblo house in US has adobe brick with straw reinforcement. Not to forget our village mud-houses with straw reinforcement. Thus use of secondary reinforcement has been a quite ancient concept. With advancement of technology and innovation in materials the concept has been fine-tuned to improve the performance of such materials greatly.
