What is the Hottrend learning process?
At the end of each minute of calculation, the system re-computes the standard deviations coefficient and threshold for each stock, which will be reflected in the expected values in the same minute for the next trading day. It takes four to five days to start from scratch to reach equilibrium in the server, but once equilibrium is reached, the server adapts itself to the market. This means that if there is a marked change in market activity for a few days (for example, it becomes much more or much less active overall,) the filters will automatically adapt themselves to these new market characteristics.
