What is the Interrail ticket?
The Interrail is a train ticket which may be acquired at major train stations. The advantage of this ticket is that it allows you to travel on almost all trains without paying anything. The ticket is valid for a certain period of time, for certain countries, depending on the type of ticket you choose, and it is never valid for the traveller’s home country, since one of the objectives of interrailing is that the user explores Europe. There is no age limit for travellers. Users must be resident or naturalised in any of the countries associated to the offer (mainly European countries). The ticket can be valid for 16, 22 or 30 consecutive irrespective of whether travellers use the trains or not on all of the scheduled days. The days where no travel takes place are neither recovered nor refunded. Since April of this year, there is a new kind of interrail ticket where the previously defined zones disappear. Some countries no longer form part of interrailing such as Morocco. There are current
