What is the law concerning funeral escorts?
Florida Statute 316.1974: Operators of vehicles in a funeral procession shall have the right-of-way at intersections. When the lead vehicle lawfully enters the intersection regardless of the traffic control device or at the direction of law enforcement personnel, the remaining vehicles may follow. The lead vehicle may be a non-law enforcement vehicle. It must be equipped with one lighted circulation lamp, amber light, visible under normal atmospheric conditions for a distance of 500 feet from the lead vehicle.
