What Is The Legal Driving Age In Canada?
In Canada, some laws are decided provincially and some are decided federally, so there isn’t one legal driving age for all of Canada. Most of the provinces have a graduated liscencing program with 3 different levels of liscences. In British Columbia, you are eligible to write the written test to get your lerners permit when you turn 16, and you have that permit for 2 years, then you take the drivers test for your new drivers permit which you have for a year, then you get your full liscence. In Alberta, you are eliglble for your learners permit when you turn 14. I’m not sure about the other provinces.
