Although the variation in size and composition of each College means that there will necessarily be differences between their detailed structures, a basic organisational structure will represented in each College. The basic proposals regarding the internal management structures within the Colleges were outlined in a paper ‘Changes to Academic Structures- update December 2005’. Each College will have a College Management Board concerned with the internal management of the College, comprising the Head of College, two or more Deputy Heads (e.g. a Director of Research and a Director of Teaching), and in some cases the Heads of the constituent Schools and Institutes, plus the College Administrative Manager. There may also be the need for larger consultative fora in each of the Colleges to represent more staff than the Management Board. It is anticipated that each College will have a Teaching & Learning Committee and a Research Committee and possibly further groupings to represent Third Miss
