What is the medieval times?
Also referred to as the “middle ages,” the “medieval times(as you refer to it)” was a period of time that occurred before the Renaissance(“rebirth”) and and after the fall of the Western Roman Empire (antiquity). Although sometimes seen as a low point in European cultural history, the middle ages saw the expansion of Christianity throughout much of Northern and Southern Europe and the rise of feudalism. Christianity’s expansion into Northern and Southern was largely due to the prominence of the Catholic Church(after the “great schism” where the Eastern Roman church splintered relations with the western church). The expansion of Christianity in Europe also spread the use of Latin as opposed to the vernacular….you know what just use wikipedia, i don’t want to write to such extents knowing that someone else has written more with a larger breadth in terms of knowledge.
