This depends on when you intend to travel. If in Year 2, the minimum duration is one academic year. If in your placement year (Year 3), the minimum duration is one term/semester. If you travel in your placement year, you can combine studying abroad with a placement (e.g. study abroad for one semester, followed by a semester on work placement).
