What is the NetID process for students at UCR Extension?
• When you register for an online course, or a face-to-face or hybrid course which uses Blackboard or Moodle, you will receive an e-mail message confirming your enrollment. Within 48 hours, you will receive a second e-mail with information about setting up your UCR NetID. • Use the temporary login ID and temporary password sent in the UCR NetID e-mail to create your NetID. • Your NetID provides immediate access to the campus wireless network and other services, as well as to UCR Extension’s Moodle courses. • If you have registered for a course which uses Blackboard, your NetID will be added to the course roster by 9 am the next business day. At that time, you will have access to Blackboard, but your course may not be available until the date the course begins (as listed in the UCR Extension course catalog).
