What is the objective of the game?
Star Trek: Starfleet Command is played within a “Dynaverse” which generates missions based on the state of the universe and the decisions of the player. The player starts in a lowly frigate of their selected race and plays through a serious of missions gaining prestige points, rank, and even medals. Most missions will be heavily combat orientated (like ST2 and ST6.) Prestige points are used between missions to upgrade to new more powerful ships, repair your current ship, add ships to your “task force,” or purchase better missiles or shuttles. There are currently five playable races (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Lyran, and Hydran) with about 30 missions for each race. Each race is also extremely unique so playing a different race will be a completely different game which is something many games claim but never accomplish. Star Trek: Starfleet Command will be one of the first to hold true to this claim.
