In the past Haiti was been unstable politically. The US Department of State does list Haiti as a dangerous country to travel to. However, the majority of the unrest and danger is in the capital city, Port-au-Prince. We will not be in PAP other than to fly in and out. Haiti has always been a fairly politically turbulent place. However, most of the problems occur in or near Port Au Prince. Jacmel is approximately 4 hours from Port Au Prince. The US Department of State puts out current information on their website.
