The population of Lebanon, Ohio was 16,962 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Warren County, OhioWarren County. It was named after the Biblical Lebanon because of the many Eastern Juniperjuniper trees there, mistaken for the Lebanon Cedar. It is known today as “The Cedar City”. The name is pronounced LEH-buh-nihn. Although an old small town in its own right, it serves as a suburban bedroom community of Cincinnati and is increasingly looked at as a cheaper, less congested alternative to places like Mason, OhioMason.
