What is the preferred method for accessing Webdisk?
The preferred method of accessing Webdisk is via the Webdisk Client or Webdisk Wrapper. Using Internet Explorer should only be used ais a fall back if the Webdisk Client or Wrapper application not be available. There are a few reasons for this: • When using Internet Explorer to access Webdisk, you will not be able to mount it as a drive letter (i.e.: the U: drive) on your computer. Instead it will appear as a network place. • When accessing Webdisk through the web folder in Internet Explorer, you will often get prompted for your username and password over and over. The Webdisk Client on the other hand, caches this information within the application itself, so you will not need to re-enter your username and password. • Accessing Webdisk through any web browser will not allow you to save changes to your work. As stated above, using a web browser to access Webdisk only allows you to access and view your work.
