What is the problem that Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle has with God?
John Bell proved the strong version of Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle, which says that there are elements of reality (Einstein’s terminology) that don’t have definite values, rather than the weak version which simply says we cannot measure the values. The result is that the world is not deterministic. There are future events that are undetermined. This is a problem for God’s omniscience. God cannot know everything that is going to happen because Bell’s theorem proves that if it isn’t determined what is going to happen, meaning that information doesn’t exist to be known by God. There are possible solutions, including Everett’s view, which says that all possibilities happen in an ever splitting universe. This view allows God to know all the possibilities, all of which occur in some parallel universe or another. Others will claim that there is no inconsistency in God acting in a manner that defies the laws of physics. Some will also claim that undetermined events are not facts to be kn
