What is the procedure for making dry ice???
There are attachments for a standard CO2 cylinder that will spray out the CO2 quickly enough to produce dry ice. CO2 is stored as a liquid under pressure, but will solidify if expanded quickly enough. A CO2 fire extinguisher uses this principle to spray dry ice onto fires. Without compressed CO2 and the right equipment, you will not be able to make dry ice at home. To make cubes or nuggets, you need some sort of compactor to pack the dry ice “snow” you get from DIY dry ice makers. If all you need is to use dry ice, look in the yellow pages for a vendor. Try under “dry ice” and also “ice”.
