What is the purpose of emails?
Emails are designed to provide instant communication, across great distances. If the recipient is not able to respond immediately, the text message is there, waiting, until they can respond, unlike a phone call. It costs almost nothing to send an email (unless you count the cost of the computer and your internet plan) The disadvantage is that people abuse the service by clogging it up with those ‘funny’ e-mails that get sent to 20 people at a time.
