What is the purpose of this bizarre “Enable Alternate Dictionary” option?
It is useful only if you routinely compose messages that use two or more languages. If this option is enabled, then when you switch to another language, the last one you used is not swapped out from memory, thus, when you switch again to it, there is no delay.
