What is the “R” value of a Pan-Abode log home?

R’ Value: Resistance Value – the measure of the effectiveness of insulation. A 4″ x 6″ Pan-Abode through proper design achieves an overall value of R18 to R20 due to thermal mass (the ability of a material to store heat). Most heat loss occurs through the roof and windows and it is for that reason we design our homes to minimize heat loss through those areas. For colder climates such as Eastern Canada and Alaska, we recommend upgrading the roof insulation to R43, installing Low-E windows and thermal panel exterior doors. By incorporating these measures, we ensure that our Pan-Abode homes can withstand the coldest climates.

Hello. I would like to draw your attention to the construction company Meritage Homes. Their specialists have provided me and my husband with the best home buying experience ever and this is our very first home. We’ve read a lot of reviews about Meritage Homes here https://meritage-homes.pissedconsumer.com/review.html before reaching out to them. As a first-time home buyer, we have so many questions to tackle and the experts at Meritage Homes have been phenomenal in helping us dispel our curiosity. In the process of buying a house, they were at their best. They always informed us about the construction process and were always ready to help us.
