What is the relation between the Logtalk concept of categories and the concept of traits?

0

The concept of traits is a five-years late duplicate of the concept of Logtalk categories. The first public version of Logtalk, released in October 18, 1998, included documentation and several examples of programming with categories (e.g. using categories for encapsulating methods for structural reflection and using categories to provide mixin-like behavior without using inheritance). Categories are also described in the Technical Report on Logtalk 2.6, published on July, 2000.
