What is the reputation of Fisher & Paykel washers and dryers?

I live in the US and own a Fisher & Paykel washer. I bought it second hand. It works great! I was at first confused when there was no water level option but it automatically fills with water to the exact amount that is needed by the weight of the clothing you put in it. It also has many settings for the kinds of clothing you are washing and allows you to save settings. It has a digital display with a smiley face. 🙂 Although I do not know much about the brand in general, I know that mine works great.

My experience of Fisher and Paykel appliances is from New Zealand. I did not find they were as good as European brands (I am from UK). Despite this they have a good reputation in New Zealand (which is where they originate from I think). I have not seen a top loading dryer, I think it might be awkward to use. The Fisher and Paykel dryers I saw in New Zealand were front loaders.
