Ans: The role of props in Yoga is to make an Asanas easier to perform by anyone. It also makes staying in the pose easy and one may stay for longer time than without the use of props. It is especially good for beginners and people with limited physical approach. It is also beneficial for pregnant women, people with sport injuries, physical handicap etc. Though all this is true it is recommended for a normal practitioner to practice yoga without the use of props to avoid the under and over estimation of body’s capacity.
