What is the South Florida Regional ITS Coalition?
The South Florida Regional ITS Coalition is a newly-formed group that brings together municipal, county, regional and state agencies to ensure compatible implementation of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) components and many other important regional objectives. The individual agencies are in varying stages of implementing the ITS technology, including road sensors, closed circuit television cameras (CCTV), dynamic message signs, ramp-signals and highway advisory radio. By working together, compatibility can be maintained from one jurisdiction to another.
