What is the Tier 3 Provincial Working Group (PWG)?
The Tier 3 PWG is a small working group that is charged with the tasks of developing principles and providing strategic implementation advice to help guide the Ministry with its transfer of non-bedded mental health programs and services from affected hospitals to non-profit community agencies, where appropriate. The purpose of this working group is to ensure a consistent approach is taken across the province to the process of Tier 3 transfer from affected hospitals to community agencies. “Consistent approach” is clarified to mean –development of common principles that can be applied provincially to set the foundation for further discussions at regional and local levels.
