What is this new category called “T.U.R.F”? T.U.R.F. is a style of dance that originated from Oakland, California. Turf dancing requires dancers to perform a skit by using pantomime, facial expressions, movement and appropriate gestures. The skit must have a beginning, middle, and an end. Usually, this style of dance is complimented with Funk/Hip-Hop. What is this new category called Duel/Battle? Duel/Battle is a new dance category, which allows two teams to face off for a total of 2 minutes. Both teams will dance to the same pre-selected song and alternate battling every 30 seconds (The pre-selected song is chosen by Ivory Arts, Inc.). Each team will have the opportunity to showcase their best dance moves. The audience decides the winner by their applause and cheers. May we videotape the competition?
