What is the Toronto Teen Survey?
The aim of the Toronto Teen Survey (TTS) is to gather information on assets, gaps and barriers that exist for young people in their quest to access sexual health services. We plan to use this information to develop community-specific strategies to increase positive sexual health outcomes for diverse youth in Toronto. The TTS team is a collaborative group of service providers, students, researchers and policy makers. It is a partnership between Planned Parenthood Toronto (PPT) and Dr. Sarah Flicker (Assistant Professor at York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies), Dr. June Larkin (Vice-Principal, New College, University of Toronto and Principal Investigator of Gendering Adolescent AIDS Prevention (GAAP), Dr. Robb Travers (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University) and Dr. Jason Pole (Scientist with the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario and an Assistant Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto).
