There is no exact figure so far. However, from 1930 to 1947, a large number of Khaksars lost their lives due to unjust police firings. Furthermore, thousands of Khaksars were thrown in jail and many were sentenced to rigorous imprisonment ranging from months to life imprisonment. Mashriqi tried his best to seek their release, but the Government remained adamant and kept them in jail.
