University of PhoenixThe University of Phoenix is a large private accredited university that enrolls 500,000 students. It is America’s largest private university. You can earn your associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctoral degree either online, on campus, or through an online/campus combination. It is a great way for people to further their education in a convenient way, especially for working adults.

Some criticisms of the University of Phoenix are that the degrees you receive from that school may not carry the same weight as degrees from traditional programs. Students may still learn a lot, but a lot of employers feel as though the degrees earned from the University of Phoenix are similar to credits gained from a junior college or a community college.

The University of Phoenix is also criticized for their high tuition fees and low faculty salary. This means that you probably will not get what you paid for especially compared to other community colleges. Overall, it lacks the "real college experience" feel.

Rather than taking four or five classes for over a semester of several months, University of Phoenix students have the option of taking only one to two classes in an accelerated format that lasts just a few weeks. This allows working professionals to focus on just one su

This is a national “university” that has about 170 campuses in several states and distributes most of its coursework online, thereby reaching an international audience. They have supposedly awarded over 170,000 degrees since 1976 and have over 17,000 instructors. The University of Phoenix prides itself with being a for-profit “university”, which it says keeps it customer-oriented. Actually, it just keeps it profit-oriented. I use “university” in quotes here because this is NOT a university. If they say that granting easy master’s degrees or enrolling a lot of students makes them a university, then they’re trying to sell you something. Make no mistake – you will not get a university education at this glorified community college. Why not? Read on… What is the University of Phoenix’s problem? There are several, but I’m going to focus on the faculty recruitment and retention problems, since this is what I know best about this school. When I mentioned that I was considering applying for a
