What is there to do in or near Clearwater Florida?
I’ve been to Tampa and Clearwater a few times, though honestly it’s been close to twenty years since the last time I was there. I remember one time we went to a beach that had a big sandbar about 50 yards from shore and that was really interesting because the waves would break around it in a way that reaching the sandbar was tough but once you were there it was really nice and calm. It was like a second beach just off the beach. It was one of the more memorable beach experiences I’ve had. Now I can’t tell you all the beaches are like that, but in general the gulf coast does have very nice beaches and nice sand – unless you get unlucky enough to turn up when there’s a lot of seaweed coming on shore. Now one of the biggest attractions in the area is Busch Gardens. That’s something I’d highly recommend visiting. I don’t know how crowded it gets now, but back then it was busy but not crazy like Disney and the other attractions. Plus, going in February it shouldn’t be too bad at all. That’s
