What is tithe?
Tithe is ‘the first tenth’ of your total income that belongs to God. God wants you to pay Him 10 percent to provide Gods ministry and build His Kingdom on this earth. From the beginning we see God setting apart something for Himself. The ‘tree of the knowledge of good and evil’ was set apart. Adam was never forbidden to eat of anything else in the garden but from that one tree. The day Adam touched the ‘forbidden fruit’ they were cursed. God established this principle even from the time He created man. You and I cannot receive what belongs to us in Christ unless we obey him. God commanded the children of Israel that the first 10 percent of their fruit belongs to God. God says in Ex 22:29 …You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. God told the children of Israel not to delay when giving to God is concerned.
