What is Torontos Festival of Beer doing to: Promote responsible drinking? Help the environment?
The Festival states in all contracts that it is mandatory for all those serving alcohol or coming in contact with alcohol at the Festival are ‘Smart Serve’ certified. Festival management makes every effort to follow environmentally friendly practices, including waste reduction through our recent implementation of a reusable Festival cup instead of disposables. We have also reduced waste from disposable paper tokens by introducing reusable plastic tokens. The tokens are recycled each day and put back into the Festival and are later stored for future festival use. Management staff has also implemented a recycling program which includes collecting beer bottle empties for return at The Beer Store.
