What is Ultimate Frisbee?

I wasn’t sure what ultimate frisbee was, so I decided to look it up on the web and share my newly found knowledge with the Wellsphere community. Ultimate frisbee is frisbee, but to the extreme. It is a combination of soccer, basketball, (American) football, and other team sports. There are 7 players per team and there is an “end zone” (as in American football) at each end of the field. Players cannot run with the frisbee – it is passed between players to eventually (and hopefully) make it to the end zone. The defending teams tries to intercept the frisbee when being passed. The rules are pretty basic and simple.

Ultimate is played in over 30 countries worldwide, is a sport at the World Games, and has a strong presence in universities and high schools.
