Write mode enables SiteX to utilize file uploading functions such as the photo gallery, title pictures, and the file manager. Unless SiteX has determined that the appropriate permissions are set for writeability to the “content/” directory, file uploading to this directory will be disabled as well as any functionality dependent on this directory. If you did not have write mode enabled by the setup program and have since adjusted your permissions, you can have SiteX re-test and enable write mode in the site overview located in the administration panel. There are two methods by which you can make your “content/” directory writeable. The first is through an FTP program such as the WindowsXP FTP manager or LeechFTP. Adjust the folder attributes (or permissions) to 757 (Owner: Write/Read/Execute Group: Read/Execute All Users: Write/Read/Execute) for the “content/” directory and each of its subdirectories.
