What is your Ascor L NC® (Ascorbic Acid injection, from a non-corn source) derived from?

0

Ascor L NC® may be derived from several different sources as long as the source is NOT corn. Typically, Ascor L NC® is made from Cassava root (a.k.a. Tapioca). Another source has been Sugar Beet. The vast majority of the world’s ascorbic acid is derived from corn due to the low cost of the raw material (corn) and high yield of Ascorbic Acid. However, McGuff Pharmaceuticals, Inc. takes special care and independently tests ascorbic acid raw materials to confirm that the ascorbic acid used in the production of Ascor L NC® is NOT from a corn source.
