What is your view on using dashes (-) in blogs and/or Web site domain names? Does this make it more difficult for people or harder for people using search engines?
It does make it slightly harder for people to use, but if your preferred domain name is not available, it’s OK to get the one with the dashes. There has been some speculation that dashes in domain names actually HELP the search engines, because they can see the words clearly as a separate word. There’s an excellent article here describing the pros and cons of hyphenated domain names.
