What is zeuss domain?
To the ancient Greeks, Zeus was king of the gods. He ruled the sky and thunder, from his domain at Mount Olympus. He shared this domain with the other eleven main gods to the ancient Greeks: Hera, his wife; Poseidon, god of the sea; Demeter, goddess of grains; Ares, god of war; Hermes, the messenger; Hephaestus, the blacksmith; Aphrodite, goddesss of love; Athena, goddess of wisdom; Apollo, god of music and poetry; Artemis, goddess of the hunt; and Hestia, goddess of the hearth. The mountain’s located in modern-day Macedonia. At 9,570″ [2,919 m], it’s the highest in Greece. Mitikas, aka Mytikas [Nose], is its highest peak. Its claim to fame, as ancient home to the gods of the ancient Greeks, is honored by the name of the town at its base: Litochoro [City of Gods].
