What is Zoom & Trim?

When we make a print with “Zoom & Trim” on, we zoom your image just enough so that it will fill the entire photo paper. By default, all orders submitted via PhotoStreamer 2 are printed with Zoom & Trim on with the image centered so that any trimming is done evenly from each side of the print. If you would prefer to have your images printed so that all of the image is printed on the paper, even if that results in white edges when there is a discrepancy in aspect ratio, you should turn off Zoom & Trim by clicking on the “Advanced Options >>” link when placing a Prints Express order. This sort of preference is necessary because most digital cameras capture an image with a different aspect ratio (height to width ratio) than is used for standard print sizes. An analogy for understanding Zoom & Trim is to think of a watching a movie on DVD. You can watch it in “letterbox” format where the entire movie image is visible resulting in extra blank space top and bottom on your TV (Zoom & Trim off)
