What kind of therapy is conducted at Perspectives?
Perspectives Therapy Services specializes in the treatment of mental, emotional, psychological, and relationship problems using the latest theory and research-based approaches. We use empirically supported treatments, which means that the work we do if informed by science and has been shown to be effective in research studies. Several therapists use cognitive-behavioral therapy which has been shown to be an effective treatment for a variety of psychological problems including depression, anxiety, OCD, panic, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) is used to treat couples, which has been empirically validated as well as Dr. John Gottman’s theoretical orientation and carefully crafted interventions aimed at efficient, effective long-term change in couples. Family system’s theory is used when conducting family therapy which focuses on the problem that hinders the family or particularly members from growing and changing appropriately.
