What kind of work do Paralegals do?
Paralegals are semi-legal professionals. They are engaged to conduct legal research, assist in the discovery of documents, draft legal documentation and assist in the preparation of briefs to counsel and the filing of court documents. Paralegals also frequently liaise with numerous legal bodies as well as proof read, index, box and archive legal documents relevant to the work of a solicitor. Due to the semi-legal nature of the work, it is desirable for paralegals to be studying law or to have studied law previously.
