What kinds of children attend The Avalon Academy?

0

The majority of the children at The Avalon Academy have cerebral palsy. Some of the children are dependent on wheelchairs, others can walk if assisted. Children who currently attend the day program do so as an alternative to public education. Children who attend the afternoon-program are either in full-inclusion classes during regular school hours or attend The Bridge School, a local Non-Public School. Many of the afternoon-program students are graduates of the full-time program who have moved on to regular school classrooms.
