What kinds of education and training programs does the Global Banking and Markets division of Scotiabank offer to its employees?
Training for new recruits may begin with the Capital Ideas program. This is a classroom program designed to give new recruits a practical financial base, an understanding of our products and services, and an opportunity to network across all areas of the firm. Additional training is provided to employees throughout their careers. Programs include presentation, negotiation and selling skills and relationship management workshops. We also encourage employees to pursue graduate studies or a professional designation (such as a CFA) through employee programs such as the educational assistance program.
