What links are expected with post-16 providers?
Each of the clusters of schools will also be developing links with their local Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and a local college – Barking College in Barking and Dagenham, Bishop Auckland College in Durham, and Sandwell College in Sandwell. The colleges will be asked to work with the schools to develop a plan covering their participation in the project as part of the cluster plan. This should partly focus on the shared agenda between the schools and the college in areas such as support for work with families and the wider community, curriculum initiatives and work supporting the emerging 14- to 19-year-olds agenda set out in the recent Green Paper. Colleges will also be able to spend part of their funding on improving their own ICT facilities to support the achievement of project objectives within their college.
