What machines does R for Mac OS X run on?

0

R for Mac OS X requires Mac OS X version 10.2 (Jaguar) or higher to run. The R.app GUI requires Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) or higher. The latest version of the system is always preferable, though. We do not support Mac OS X version 10.1 and earlier. The binaries provided on CRAN are universal and require Mac OS X 10.4.4 (Tiger) or higher. R can be compiled from sources as a pure 64-bit application on PowerMac G5 and Intel x86_64 machines on Mac OS X 10.4 or higher. R.app GUI can be built for 64-bit R as well, but Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or higher is necessary.
