What makes a good personal brand?
Personal and corporate brands always depend on context and competition; however, generally speaking a brand’s goal should be to differentiate itself from similar people, ideas, or organizations. To be clear, a brand is not a logo or identity, but is typically defined as more of a persona or feeling. In short, a brand is how an individual or organization is perceived. Obviously, brand perception is influenced by a visual identity, but it’s also influenced by advertisements, the work/products produced, quality of service provided, lifestyle, philanthropy, employees, the list could go on because everything a person does can effect their brand image. Personal brands can be tricky to navigate because individuals often don’t have the marketing power (money) to promote themselves.
