What materials are USM Modular Furniture made from?
The basic idea is for every product line to be an open system consisting of the same type of materials. The tabletops are made from glass, granite and particle board which are coated with synthetic resin or real wood veneer. The veneered tabletops are sealed with several coats of a water-based radiation curing varnish. The glue has a low formaldehyde content and meets the requirements of the lowest emission class “E1.” The table support frames, the furnitures frame system as well as the panels are made from chromium-plated and powder-coated steel respectively. Complex molded parts that are not suitable for mechanical production, for example; fittings, clamping elements and handles are made from plastic injection molding or high pressure metal die casting, depending on the strength required.
